About the author

I started writing because I read another author’s bio, and he said if you have a story in your head, then just write it and see what happens. So I tried it. I was amazed at my accomplishment. So I kept writing and found it was very fulfilling. It satisfied a creative side of me that I didn’t know existed.
I live below the beautiful Wasach Mountains in Utah. I’m a farmer by nature and spend my summers tending our small farm, which mostly grows fruit. I prune, thin and harvest with a whole lot of little jobs in between. We grow peaches, nectarines, apples, pears, cherries and plums. We also have a nice vineyard of Concord grapes. We also grow strawberries and raspberries. I don’t do much writing in the summer.

And now I have more time to write amazing novels.

I have more hobbies than I know what to do with.
Crafting is a big part of my life. I do gardening and grow herbs, along with the farm chores. I crochet and knit, make soap with tallow, do beadwork, make porcelain ornaments, sew, with a lot of quilting, and do woodworking. Writing novels is like the icing on the cake.

I have been learning about herbs and the medicinal properties of plants and mushrooms. This is a picture of the turkey tail mushrooms I collected.

I like doing triathlons with my husband Joe. I haven’t done one for a while because the body is failing in that department. But they sure were fun.

I think the highlight of my life, aside from my family, was publishing my first books.

I graduated from BYU with a bachelor’s in Computer Science. I know that most authors start writing at a young age with dreams of becoming an author. That wasn’t me. In fact, I hated reading. Maybe I have dyslexia or some other condition, but reading was a challenge, and I avoided it. I love watching kids devour books and wish I had been like that.
I love living in Utah with my husband and 4 children and 10 grandchildren. They are a blessing in my life.
